A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in a suspected hit-and-run collision on the 10 Freeway in Pomona early Wednesday morning, July 2, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 3:37 a.m. on the westbound side of the freeway at the White Avenue on-ramp.
Officers arrived to find the victim deceased at the scene. The identity of the individual has not yet been released.
Authorities said a white vehicle reportedly hit the pedestrian and fled westbound on the freeway without stopping.
The collision prompted the closure of all westbound lanes of the 10 Freeway until 8:00 a.m. as investigators worked to determine the cause and circumstances of the crash.
CHP continues to investigate and is seeking information regarding the driver involved.
