A bicyclist was killed after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in West Hollywood on Thursday night, July 10, 2025.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the incident occurred around 9:47 p.m. near the intersection of Fountain Avenue and Gardner Street.
The bicyclist was reportedly traveling westbound on Fountain Avenue when he was hit from behind by a white, older-model BMW sedan moving in the same direction.
The driver fled the scene, continuing westbound on Fountain Avenue, leaving the injured bicyclist in the roadway. The victim was later transported to Cedars-Sinai Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. His identity has not yet been released.
Officials said the suspect’s vehicle is believed to have a shattered passenger-side windshield. Investigators have not determined whether drugs or alcohol were involved, and no arrests have been made.
The investigation is ongoing.
