[07-13-2024] Rider Critically Injured Following Motorcycle Vs. Vehicle DUI Crash in Woodland HillsA rider was critically injured following a motorcycle vs. vehicle DUI crash in Los Angeles early Saturday morning, July 13, 2024.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the serious collision happened just after midnight in the 21000 block of Ventura Boulevard in the Woodland Hills neighborhood.

When authorities arrived, they found the motorcyclist down in the roadway with major injuries. Medical responders quickly administered life-saving measures to the victim, who was then taken to a local trauma center right after.

The victim is currently listed in critical condition. At the time of writing, their name, age, and gender weren’t disclosed.

The driver of the vehicle involved, meanwhile, underwent a DUI test at the scene. As per the LAPD, the driver has been taken into custody. No additional information about the DUI driver’s identity has been released so far.

Additional information about the crash was not immediately available. The authorities are still gathering all the necessary details to determine the circumstances behind the incident.
