[07-19-2025] Two Killed, Four Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Elizabeth Lake Road Near PalmdaleTwo people were killed and four others sustained injuries in a two-vehicle crash in the Desert View Highlands area near Palmdale on Saturday night, July 19, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 8:45 p.m. at the intersection of Elizabeth Lake Road and 15th Street West. 

A 2023 Toyota, driven by a 17-year-old Palmdale boy, was traveling west on Elizabeth Lake Road when it turned left into the path of an eastbound 2018 Subaru driven by a 19-year-old Palmdale woman. The vehicles collided broadside.

An 18-year-old man and a 14-year-old girl, both unrestrained passengers in the Toyota, were taken to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, where they were pronounced dead.

Two other unbelted Toyota passengers, a 17-year-old girl and an 18-year-old woman, both from Palmdale, sustained major injuries and were transported to Antelope Valley Medical Center.

The Toyota driver, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Palmdale Regional Medical Center. The Subaru driver, who was also restrained, had minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.

CHP said alcohol and drugs are not suspected factors. The investigation is ongoing.
