Two people were injured in a head-on collision involving two vehicles in Santa Clarita on Monday morning, July 21, 2025.
According to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, deputies were dispatched at approximately 5:37 a.m. to the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Oak Ridge Drive. They arrived at the scene about 10 minutes later. The Los Angeles County Fire Department was also dispatched at 5:40 a.m. and arrived within a minute.
Deputies reported that two individuals were trapped inside one of the vehicles and had sustained injuries. Firefighters extricated the victims and transported them to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital at approximately 6:06 a.m.
One of the patients sustained major lower extremity injuries, while the other was listed in critical condition but was expected to survive, according to hospital staff.
Authorities stated that there was no immediate confirmation of DUI involvement. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
