[07-24-2024] Two People Hospitalized Following Single-Vehicle Crash in MalibuTwo people were hospitalized following a single-vehicle crash in Malibu early Wednesday morning, July 24, 2024.

According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the incident occurred shortly after 3:00 a.m. along the Pacific Coast Highway.

Initial reports indicated that a white SUV, for some reason, traveled straight from Topanga Canyon through the Pacific Coast Highway and into the barriers. The vehicle then fell approximately 150 feet onto the sand below, ending on its roof with major body damage.

Upon arrival, authorities found two people with unspecified injuries and quickly transported them to a nearby hospital for treatment. The identities of the two people involved and their current conditions were not disclosed.

The official cause of the accident is still under investigation. It is still unclear if alcohol or drug impairment is a factor in the crash.
