A bicyclist was airlifted to a trauma center following a crash with a vehicle on Air Expressway in Adelanto on Friday night, July 25, 2025.
According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, the collision occurred at approximately 10:00 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of Air Expressway, just west of Adelanto Road. The vehicle involved, a Toyota Camry, sustained a broken windshield during the impact.
Fire personnel requested an airship to transport the injured bicyclist, who was initially taken by ambulance to a designated landing zone before being flown to Loma Linda University Medical Center for further treatment.
Deputies from the Adelanto Police Department were seen conducting an investigation at the scene, inspecting the roadway with flashlights and taking detailed measurements.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
