A woman was killed after a pedestrian vs. vehicle crash in Lancaster on Friday night, July 26, 2024.
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the fatal collision happened around 8:09 p.m. at the intersection of Elm Avenue and Avenue J.
Authorities stated that a pedestrian, identified only as a woman, was walking north to south on Avenue J when she was hit by a Ford Flex SUV. She was transported to Antelope Valley Hospital, where she died due to her injuries.
The victim’s name, age, and place of origin were not yet disclosed pending the notification of next of kin.
It is unknown what caused the collision. The responding officials are gathering all the necessary information to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.
