A tanker truck overturned following a collision in Agua Dulce, Los Angeles County, on Sunday evening, July 28, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 4:57 p.m. on the northbound Antelope Valley (14) Freeway, just north of the Agua Dulce Canyon Road off-ramp.
A witness reported that two vehicles involved in the crash with the tanker truck appeared to be engaged in a speed contest prior to the collision. CHP Officer Sergio Garcia stated that no arrests were made, and it was not immediately known if any injuries occurred.
CHP issued a SigAlert at approximately 6:00 p.m., closing the northbound lanes of the 14 Freeway and the Agua Dulce Canyon Road on-ramp due to a fuel leak from the overturned tanker. Officer Garcia later confirmed that two lanes reopened by 4:30 a.m. Monday.
Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
