A 20-year-old woman from Kerrville, Texas, was killed in a solo-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 near Outlet Center Drive in unincorporated San Bernardino County early Friday morning, August 1, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol Barstow Area Office, the crash occurred at approximately 1:46 a.m. on northbound I-15. The woman was driving a 2016 Toyota Corolla with two 20-year-old female passengers from San Angelo, Texas.
CHP investigators reported that the Toyota veered right across all lanes and onto the shoulder. The driver attempted to correct by steering left, but the vehicle lost control, slid back across to the shoulder, and collided with a metal guardrail.
Emergency responders transported the driver to Barstow Community Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. One passenger was flown to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with injuries, while the second passenger was uninjured.
CHP stated that alcohol or drugs are not suspected to be factors in the crash.
Authorities continue to investigate the collision.
