A man riding a scooter was killed in a hit-and-run crash in San Pedro, Los Angeles County, early Thursday morning, August 6, 2026.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the collision occurred around 5:30 a.m. near the intersection of San Pedro Street and Colden Avenue. The scooter rider was struck by an unidentified vehicle under circumstances that remain under investigation.
The victim died from his injuries at the scene. Authorities have not released his identity, and a description of the vehicle involved was not immediately available.
