Two workers were hospitalized after falling into a container truck in Vernon on Friday morning, August 9, 2024.
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the incident occurred at about 8:20 a.m. at 4317 South Downey Road, just south of the L.A. River.
Firefighters responded to a confined space call and discovered that two individuals were trapped inside what appeared to be a container truck. The container appeared to be empty. It is still unclear how the two workers fell inside.
Both individuals were successfully rescued from the container and were subsequently transported to a local hospital. Their identities and the extent of their injuries have not been disclosed.
Authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
