[08-15-2025] Woman Killed, Driver Arrested After DUI Crash on 7th Avenue in HesperiaA 22-year-old woman was killed and another driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI following a two-vehicle crash in Hesperia early Friday morning, August 15, 2025.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the collision occurred around 2:20 a.m. near the intersection of 7th Avenue and Sequoia Street.

Deputies arrived and found two vehicles had collided. The female passenger, identified as Paige M. of Baldwin Park, was transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.

Authorities said the other driver, 22-year-old Danilo Z. of Apple Valley, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and later released on a bail bond.

Firefighters used specialized equipment to extricate at least one occupant from a 2008 Honda Accord EX, which sustained major rear-end damage. The second vehicle, a 2022 Dodge Charger Scat Pack driven by Danilo, sustained major front-end damage. Both vehicles came to rest on the east side of 7th Avenue after crashing through chain-link fences.

In addition to Paige’s fatal injuries, three others were categorized as delayed patients with less critical injuries, while two others declined medical care at the scene.

The Hesperia Police Department is investigating the crash.
