A man was killed, and another was injured during a two-car crash involving a semi-truck in Santa Clarita early Friday morning, August 16, 2024.
The crash occurred around 6:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 near Calgrove Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The circumstances surrounding the collision remain unclear, but firefighters arrived at the scene and transported one of the victims to a nearby hospital. The condition of the injured individual was not immediately known.
The second victim, identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner as 24-year-old Roberto F., was pronounced dead at the scene.
