A man died after being struck by an SUV in the La Crescenta-Montrose area near Glendale on Saturday night, August 16, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 7:55 p.m. at the intersection of Ocean View Boulevard and Mira Vista Avenue.
A witness reported that a gold Mercury SUV struck the man. Authorities said the driver remained at the scene.
The pedestrian was transported by ambulance to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, CHP Officer Elizabeth Kravig said.
No description of the victim has been released. The incident remains under investigation.
