A vehicle crashed into a pole in North Hollywood, Los Angeles, on Monday afternoon, August 19, 2024, trapping the occupants inside and injuring a pedestrian.
The incident occurred at approximately 1:15 p.m. in the 11000 block of Victory Boulevard at the intersection with Vineland Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
After the collision, officials discovered a 22-year-old pedestrian who had been struck by the vehicle before it hit a traffic signal pole. The pole then fell on the car, trapping two men, aged 26 and 25, inside the vehicle.
The pedestrian and the two occupants of the sedan were transported to a regional trauma center in serious condition.
