A 45-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run crash in the Historic South-Central neighborhood of Los Angeles early Tuesday morning, August 25, 2026.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers responded to the incident shortly before 3 a.m. at the intersection of San Pedro Street and East 20th Street.
Officers found the pedestrian unresponsive in the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released his identity.
Police said the driver involved fled the scene. No description of the vehicle or driver was immediately available.
The Los Angeles Police Department continues to investigate the fatal hit-and-run crash.
