[08-29-2025] At Least One Critically Injured in Fiery Two-Vehicle Crash on Northbound I-15 Near Yates Well RoadAt least one person sustained critical injuries after a fiery two-vehicle crash on northbound I-15 near the California-Nevada state line in San Bernardino County, Friday night, August 29, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 10:38 p.m. near mile marker 184, just south of Yates Well Road. 

The crash involved a white Acura and another vehicle, which became fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters reported that one vehicle was burning on the shoulder while the other sedan was totaled. Emergency crews requested an airship to evacuate the critically injured patient.

San Bernardino County Fire Department personnel and CHP officers responded to the scene. A big rig was also stopped nearby, contributing to major traffic delays. By 11:16 p.m., Caltrans cameras showed congestion stretching for miles.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and authorities have not released further details regarding the number of injured or transported victims.
