A man suffered moderate injuries after being pinned between his SUV and a trailer during a multi-vehicle collision on northbound Interstate 5 just north of State Route 14 in Los Angeles County, on Sunday morning, August 31, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers received a call around 8:10 a.m. reporting the crash. CHP stated that a white SUV towing a trailer loaded with Jet Skis had pulled over in the reverse gore point of northbound I-5.
The driver exited his vehicle to check on the trailer when a Mazda traveling northbound collided with the SUV and trailer, causing the trailer to overturn and pin the SUV driver to the ground.
The injured man was transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital in Valencia for treatment. Two passengers inside the SUV were unharmed, and the driver of the Mazda suffered minor injuries.
CHP confirmed that DUI was not a factor, though the incident remains under investigation.
