A man was hit by a vehicle and killed on the Ventura (101) Freeway in the Woodland Hills area of Los Angeles on Tuesday morning, September 3, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers were dispatched to the southbound 101 Freeway near Winnetka Avenue around 6:00 a.m.
The identity of the fatally injured man, who died at the scene, has not been released.
Some lanes were blocked in both directions of the freeway while an investigation was conducted. The CHP reported that all lanes were reopened shortly before 10 a.m.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
