[09-04-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – Four Killed, One Injured in Rollover Crash on SR-2

Four people were killed, and another person sustained injuries in a rollover crash on State Route 2 in Los Angeles County, early Friday morning, September 4, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported shortly after 1:30 a.m. on State Route 2 between Big Pines and Wrightwood, along the eastern edge of the Angeles National Forest.

CHP confirmed that four people were pronounced dead at the scene. A fifth person was transported to a local hospital, but information regarding the victim’s condition was not immediately available.

A vehicle involved in the crash sustained fire damage and came to rest several feet from a damaged power pole. Authorities have not yet released the identities of those killed.

The cause of the rollover was not immediately known. The investigation is ongoing.
