Multiple people were transported to the hospital following a head-on collision in the Rancho San Diego community of East County on Sunday morning, September 8, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 8:30 a.m. in the 1600 block of Mirage Court. CHP Sgt. Mary Bailey reported that two vehicles collided at an intersection, where one vehicle had a stop sign, and the other had the right of way.
Both drivers, along with an unknown number of passengers, were transported to a local hospital. Some of the victims were reported to be in serious condition.
