A 45-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run crash in the South Park neighborhood of South Los Angeles on Thursday night, September 10, 2026.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident occurred around 11:05 p.m. at Broadway and 54th Street.
Police said the man was walking eastbound in a crosswalk when he was struck by a gray vehicle traveling northbound on Broadway.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity.
LAPD said the involved vehicle fled the scene, traveling eastbound on 53rd Street. Additional information identifying the vehicle or driver was not immediately available.
The authorities continue to investigate the fatal hit-and-run crash.
