[09-20-2024] Four Injured After Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 246 in SolvangFour people were transported to Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Solvang on Friday night, September 20, 2024.

Shortly after 6:30 p.m., personnel from the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the California Highway Patrol, and American Medical Response were dispatched to the scene involving a Kia and a Lexus on the 1000 block of East Highway 246, according to fire Capt. Scott Safechuck.

One vehicle landed on its roof, while the other rolled over but came to rest on its wheels off the side of Highway 246 near Skytt Mesa Drive after the collision, as reported by emergency dispatch.

A man and a woman with moderate injuries, along with two uninjured juveniles from one vehicle, were taken to the hospital. A man in the other vehicle refused treatment.

The details are still being investigated. No further information is immediately available.
