Three people were taken to hospitals after being injured in a two-vehicle collision on West Vernon Avenue in the Vermont Square area of Los Angeles on Sunday evening, September 21, 2025.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the crash occurred around 6:10 p.m. in the 400 block of West Vernon Avenue, just east of the Harbor (110) Freeway. One of the vehicles caught fire, though none of the occupants were trapped.
The California Highway Patrol temporarily closed the Vernon Avenue off-ramp from the 110 Freeway while the crash was investigated and the wreckage was cleared. The ages, genders, and conditions of the injured were not immediately available.
Authorities continue to investigate the collision.
