[11-02-2026] San Bernardino County, CA – One Killed, Another Injured in Rollover Crash in Yermo

A 65-year-old Riverside man was killed, and a 72-year-old Newberry Springs man sustained injuries in an SUV rollover crash in Yermo, San Bernardino County, on Monday morning, November 2, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol’s Barstow Area office, the crash occurred around 11:53 a.m. on Yermo Road, west of Minneola Road.

Investigators said the Newberry Springs man was driving a 2008 Honda Pilot westbound with the Riverside man as his passenger. For reasons under investigation, the SUV entered the eastbound lane and struck a guardrail.

The Honda continued across the dirt shoulder, hit a raised dirt berm, and overturned, ejecting both occupants.

The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver sustained moderate injuries and was airlifted to a trauma center.

Authorities withheld both men’s identities pending positive identification and notification of next of kin.

CHP said alcohol and drugs were not believed to have contributed to the crash.

The investigation remains ongoing.
