A pedestrian was injured and transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Newhall, Santa Clarita, late Friday night, November 29, 2024.
Firefighters from the Los Angeles County Fire Department and deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the scene near 9th Street and Main Street.
According to Sgt. Sherry Clark of the SCV Sheriff’s Station, a 911 caller, reported seeing a man bleeding from the head after hearing a loud crash around 10:56 p.m.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene by 11:00 p.m. and transported the injured man to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital. His condition remains unknown.
No description of the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run has been released, and no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
