A woman was struck and killed on the southbound Interstate 215 near Inland Center Drive in San Bernardino early Monday morning, December 1, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported around 5:23 a.m. after dispatchers were alerted to a woman walking southbound on the right shoulder of the freeway wearing dark clothing.
Minutes later, a black Ford Bronco stopped on the right shoulder, and it was unclear where the pedestrian had gone. By 5:56 a.m., an ambulance transported a patient to Loma Linda University Medical Center, and at 6:13 a.m., authorities confirmed the female pedestrian, described as a Jane Doe approximately 35 years old, had died.
The crash occurred near the Orange Show Road area, and investigators remained at the scene to document evidence. The identity of the woman has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
