At least two people were injured when an SUV crashed into an animal hospital and other businesses at a strip mall in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, on Monday, December 2, 2024.
The crash occurred around 12:15 p.m. in the 20000 block of Ventura Boulevard in the west San Fernando Valley community.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, two individuals were transported to local hospitals. The severity of their injuries has not yet been disclosed.
The SUV came to rest inside the Veterinary Cancer Group, adjacent to Access Specialty Animal Hospital. An optical business nearby also sustained damage from the impact.
A witness, who was at the clinic with her dog, described the SUV jumping a curb and crashing into one entrance of the strip mall. The driver attempted to reverse but continued forward, ultimately colliding with the animal hospital’s lobby.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
