A pedestrian was killed in a traffic collision in Compton early Tuesday morning, December 3, 2024.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the incident occurred around 4:56 a.m. at the intersection of Compton Boulevard and South San Pedro Street.
Responding officers found the victim at the scene, according to CHP Officer Michael Nasir.
Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. The identity, age, and gender of the victim have not been released at this time.
The CHP is currently investigating the cause of the collision.
