One person was killed after a wrong-way head-on crash on the eastbound Foothill Freeway at Baldwin Avenue in Arcadia early Monday morning, December 15, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported around 2:55 a.m. when a sedan traveling the wrong direction collided head-on with another vehicle.
The Arcadia Fire Department responded to the scene and pronounced one person dead. Authorities did not immediately release the victim’s identity.
CHP said all eastbound lanes except the far right lane and shoulder were closed at approximately 3:39 a.m., and a SigAlert was issued shortly afterward. As of about 7:30 a.m., only the far right lane and shoulder remained open while Los Angeles County medical examiner personnel were on scene.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
