A pedestrian was fatally struck by a sedan at the intersection of Avenue 26 and Figueroa Street in Cypress Park, Los Angeles, late Thursday night, December 26, 2024,
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers responded to the scene at approximately 11:34 p.m. and found the pedestrian lying in the roadway.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics transported the individual to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead. The identity, age, and gender of the deceased pedestrian have not been released.
The driver of the sedan involved in the crash remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
LAPD’s Central Traffic Division is currently investigating the cause of the collision.
