An elderly woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash in the Pacoima area of Los Angeles on Friday night, January 30, 2026.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers responded to the incident at around 5:50 p.m. near the intersection of Van Nuys Boulevard and Glenoaks Boulevard.
Investigators stated that a black Dodge Durango traveling eastbound on Van Nuys Boulevard struck the pedestrian who was crossing the street.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the woman dead. Her identity has not yet been released.
Police said the driver continued eastbound without stopping to render aid. Authorities announced that a standing reward of up to $50,000 is being offered through the Los Angeles Administrative Code Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the suspect.
