[02-23-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – Woman Riding Mobility Scooter Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash in South LA

A 30-year-old woman riding a mobility scooter was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash in South Los Angeles early Sunday morning, February 23, 2026.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident occurred around 1:35 a.m. as the woman was traveling north on Slauson Avenue from Denver Avenue. Paramedics transported her to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The suspect vehicle was described as a possible mid-2000s Chevrolet Tahoe or Suburban. Authorities are continuing to search for the driver involved.
