A 7-year-old girl was airlifted to a hospital following a single-vehicle crash on Sierra Highway in Los Angeles County on Tuesday evening, March 31, 2026.
According to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, deputies responded to a call at 5:20 p.m. reporting a crash into a pole on the northbound side of Sierra Highway.
First responders found three passengers in the vehicle: a man driving, a female in the front passenger seat, and a 7-year-old girl in the back seat. The condition of the other female passenger was not immediately known.
The child sustained injuries that led to her being airlifted to the hospital by the Los Angeles County Fire Department’s aerial unit. Her condition was reported as stable on Wednesday.
The male driver, a Hemet resident, was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI and child endangerment. No other injuries were reported, and the relationships among the vehicle’s occupants remain under investigation.
L.A. County Fire stated that at least two individuals were transported to the hospital—one by helicopter and the other by ground units—though their conditions were not immediately available.
The investigation remains ongoing.
