[04-07-2026] Napa County, CA – Man Killed After Being Struck By Semi-Truck Near Yountville

A man died after being struck by a semi-truck on Highway 29, near Yountville, Napa County, on Tuesday afternoon, April 7, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 12:15 p.m. in the southbound lanes near Hoffman Lane, less than a mile south of Yountville. 

Investigators report that the man entered the roadway for unknown reasons and walked from the right shoulder directly into the path of a 2012 Peterbilt semi-truck. The truck driver attempted to swerve to avoid the man but was unable to do so in time.

The man, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement officials.
