Two people were injured after a vehicle went off a roadway and plunged into a ravine in Banning on Sunday afternoon, April 26, 2026.
According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the crash was reported around 2:38 p.m. in the 8500 block of Bluff Street.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and used a basket-and-rope rescue system to retrieve the occupants from the vehicle, which had fallen several hundred feet down the ravine.
One person was transported to a hospital by ground ambulance with minor to moderate injuries, while the second individual was evaluated at the scene and declined further medical treatment.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
