One person was injured in a collision involving two big rigs on the Pomona (60) Freeway in Pomona early Wednesday morning, July 29, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at around 2:04 a.m. on the eastbound 60 Freeway just west of Phillips Ranch Road. A witness reported that one of the truck drivers was bleeding following the collision.
Authorities issued a SigAlert at 2:39 a.m., closing lanes 3 and 4 while emergency crews worked to clear the damaged vehicles. Video from the scene showed the front of one of the big rigs heavily damaged and partially separated from its chassis.
The roadway remained partially closed for several hours before all lanes reopened by 7 a.m. Officials have not released additional information regarding the injured driver’s condition.
The CHP continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
