A woman using a motorized wheelchair was seriously injured after being struck by a pickup truck in Lancaster on Wednesday night, August 12, 2026.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lancaster Station, the incident was reported around 10:42 p.m. at the intersection of 17th Street West and West Avenue K-8.
Witnesses at the scene reported that the woman was dragged a substantial distance following the incident and came to rest beneath the front of the pickup truck.
The woman was transported to Antelope Valley Medical Center for treatment. An update on her condition was not immediately available.
