[08-23-2026] Riverside County, CA – One Killed in Three-Vehicle Crash on I-215

One person was killed in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 215 in Riverside early Sunday morning, August 23, 2026.

According to California Highway Patrol incident logs, the collision occurred around 3:40 a.m. near Cactus Avenue, close to March Air Reserve Base.

One vehicle reportedly overturned onto its side near the center divider, while another involved vehicle was in the northbound lanes.

CHP logs indicated that one person was found on the ground following the collision. A representative from the Riverside County Coroner’s Office was dispatched to the scene shortly after 4 a.m.

Authorities did not immediately release the identity of the person who died or additional information about others involved in the crash.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
