A 46-year-old motorcyclist identified by his family as Philip C. was killed in a hit-and-run collision in Studio City, Los Angeles, on Tuesday morning, September 22, 2026.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the crash was reported at around 7:05 a.m. at Ventura Boulevard and Carpenter Avenue.
Police said the victim was traveling eastbound on Ventura Boulevard when the driver of a dark blue 2004 Honda Odyssey, traveling westbound, attempted to turn left onto Carpenter Avenue and turned in front of the motorcycle.
The Honda driver continued southbound on Carpenter Avenue without stopping and later abandoned the minivan, according to police. Paramedics transported the rider to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
On Monday, the victim’s family appealed to the public for information about the driver. A $50,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the driver’s identification and prosecution.
The LAPD continues to investigate the fatal hit-and-run crash.
