A 60-year-old motorcyclist was killed after colliding with a box truck on State Highway 92 in Hayward on Friday, October 2, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred on the transition from eastbound Highway 92 to northbound Interstate 880.
CHP Officer Rolando Guzman said the motorcyclist was lane-splitting between lanes traveling in the same direction when he collided with the box truck.
The impact ejected the rider from his motorcycle. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.
