According to the San Diego Police Department, the crash happened around 6:45 a.m. at the intersection of Cardin Street and Ronson Road. 

Initial reports show that a victim, identified only as a 40-year-old woman, was struck by a white pickup truck. As a result, the woman suffered from injuries and was transported to the hospital for immediate medical treatment. 

Authorities have not disclosed any other information regarding the identities of the involved parties. The extent of injuries is unclear at this time. 

It is unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision. Anyone with information is highly encouraged to contact the authorities.
