[05-21-2024] One Person Killed, Another Injured Following Single-Vehicle Crash on I-15 Near Deer Springs AreaOne person was killed and another injured following a single-vehicle crash along I-15 in San Diego County on Tuesday morning, May 21, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 6:30 a.m. on northbound I-15 near Deer Springs Road.

Authorities stated that the crash involved a white pickup truck with at least two people inside. The vehicle was reportedly overturned after flipping four times, resulting in severe vehicle damage. 

The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, and a passenger was transported to the nearby hospital with injuries. The extent of injuries and condition of the passenger remains unclear. Information on the identities of the victims has not yet been released. 

There were no injuries reported at this time. It is unknown what caused the crash. 

Further information on the collision has yet to be released by the authorities. The investigation continues.
