[05-28-2024] Child Killed, Woman Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle in Pomona A child was killed, and a woman was injured after being struck by a vehicle in Pomona on Tuesday evening, May 28, 2024. 

According to the Pomona Police Department, the collision happened around 8:02 p.m. in the area of Towne and Lexington Avenues. 

Authorities stated that two pedestrians were hit by a vehicle, including a female child and a woman. Upon the arrival of the police, both victims were found in the roadway near Towne. 

The child was pronounced dead at the scene, while the woman was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Further details on the identities of the victims were not immediately available. 

Police said that the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. It is unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision. 

Additional information on the incident has yet to be released by the authorities. No further details were provided.
