A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Lancaster on Saturday night, August 3, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision happened at about 10:10 p.m. on the southbound Antelope Valley (14) Freeway, west of Lancaster Boulevard.
Authorities stated that a pedestrian, whose name, age, and gender were not released, was struck by multiple vehicles on the freeway. Upon arrival, the responding officials pronounced the victim dead at the scene. It is unknown what the pedestrian was doing at the time of the crash.
There is no word yet on the make and model of the vehicles that struck the pedestrian. It is not clear if any of the drivers involved remained at the scene. Drugs, alcohol, and speeding were being investigated as possible factors in the crash.
