A pedestrian was struck and killed while attempting to cross the Golden State (5) Freeway in Arleta, Los Angeles, on Saturday morning, November 9, 2024.
The collision was reported at 1:44 a.m., with California Highway Patrol officers responding to the southbound freeway at the Osborne Street off-ramp.
They found the man lying near the slow lane of the freeway, according to CHP Officer Sergio Garcia.
The victim, whose name and age have not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
