A 21-year-old man crashed his Mustang into the second-story balcony of a residence in Chino early Tuesday morning, November 12, 2024.
The collision occurred around 12:22 a.m. in the 12600 block of San Antonio Avenue.
Preliminary information indicates that the Mustang was traveling at high speed when it crashed through a fence, went into a riverbed, struck a curb and the concrete side of a drainage canal. The vehicle became airborne before colliding with the home, coming to rest atop a patio cover.
The driver, identified as 21-year-old Jacob T. from Chino, and three other occupants of the car were taken to a nearby hospital. The driver remains in serious condition. One of the passengers is 19 years old, while the other two are minors.
Despite the significant damage to the home, no one inside the residence was injured. Authorities believe alcohol may have contributed to the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
