A suspected DUI driver crashed into a big rig and a concrete wall after spinning in circles on the 10 Freeway in Baldwin Park on Wednesday afternoon, April 9, 2025.
According to authorities, at around 4:00 p.m., dashcam footage captured a 2021 BMW 750 performing doughnuts on the eastbound side of the freeway just west of Baldwin Park Boulevard before striking the side of a semi-truck.
The BMW continued circling and skidding across lanes for over three minutes before making multiple contacts with a retaining wall and ultimately crashing head-on into a concrete barrier.
The driver, identified as 36-year-old Jamel Price of Victorville, exited the vehicle and rolled around on the freeway before being taken into custody by a Los Angeles Police Department motorcycle officer who had witnessed the incident.
California Highway Patrol officers arrived at the scene and assumed control of the investigation. CHP confirmed that drugs were a contributing factor in the crash.
It remains unclear whether the driver of the big rig sustained any injuries. The California Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the incident.
