A man was killed after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Canoga Park, Los Angeles, early Friday morning, May 2, 2025.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the crash occurred at approximately 1:15 a.m. at the intersection of DeSoto Avenue and Sherman Way.
Authorities said the suspect was driving eastbound on Sherman Way when they struck the victim, who was walking outside of a crosswalk.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The suspect fled the scene without stopping to assist the victim. No description of the suspect vehicle has been released.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Bureau is investigating the collision.
